About Jessica
Hi, I’m Jessica Carlson, the face behind Flashpoint Photography!
A lifelong animal lover, I got involved with purebred dogs at the age of twelve. I started with shows, then later competed in hunt tests, dabbled in obedience and agility, and then began in pointing breed field trials, which my husband and I now compete in with our dogs and horses.
My love of photography along with my early career in graphic design and digital pre-press led me to create Flashpoint. I began by photographing at shows, field trials and other dog sports, as well as my own dogs of course! Today, I’m an international multi award-winning pet photographer who enjoys being able to capture moments and memories in photos, then transforming those into stunning artwork that can be treasured forever.
We are based in north Texas from fall through spring, serving Wise County and the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.
We travel throughout the midwest for competition with our dogs and spend the hot summer months training dogs in Montana. Photography for fellow dog lovers, competitors, and breeders is available wherever we are, whether outdoor portraits, action shots, or in my mobile studio. I am always available in the midwest US and available to travel to anywhere in the country by request.
